THE PASSENGER ON THE FIRST FLIGHT FROM TIRANA TO PRAGUE BECAME THE 7 MILLIONTH PASSENGER OF TIRANA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN 2023

18December 2023, Tirana Wizz Air, Albania’s leading airline and the most environmentally sustainable airline globally, is thrilled to announce the launch of two new routes connecting the dynamic city of Tirana, Albania, with the captivating destinations of Krakow, Poland, and Prague, Czech Republic. The routes connecting Tirana to Prague and Tirana to Krakow are set to be operational up to three days a week, providing consistent service year-round. The inaugural flights for both routes took off on December 18, 2023, with an exclusive celebration event held within the premises of Tirana International Airport.

This significant celebration not only marked the inauguration of the thrilling new routes but also recognized a remarkable milestone – the achievement of 7 million passengers who have travelled through Tirana’s International Airport. The lucky 7 millionth passenger boarded the first flight from Tirana to Prague and received a value voucher from Wizz Air. The collaboration between Wizz Air and Tirana International Airport has played a pivotal role in enhancing connectivity and accessibility for passengers travelling to and from Tirana. During the celebration event, representatives of Wizz Air and Tirana International Airport expressed their enthusiasm for the launch of the new routes and reaching this milestone.
